Meet Ed. He has been an important member of the Olds Healthcare Fundraising Committee since it started in 2010. Ed first got involved in healthcare fundraising over 20 years ago when Olds Hospital needed new beds. A committee was formed, and many local businesses donated products and services. The generosity of the people of Olds also shared their time and resources to help the project succeed. Thanks to a successful auction, the Committee raised enough money to buy new beds for primary and long-term care residents.
When the committee became permanent, Ed was happy to join.Ed moved to Olds from Calgary in 1989 to become the dealer at Hildebrand Motors Ltd. He retired in 2011, and his son, Paul, now runs the business. Even now, Ed often stops by Hildebrand’s and enjoys chatting near the coffee machine whenever he is in town.
In his free time, Ed enjoys golfing and traveling. He is also active at the First Baptist Church in Olds, where he participates in community events.
