The Olds HealthCare Fundraising Committee has dedicated the generous gift from Sandra and Darwin Luft who quietly left a multimillion-dollar estate to the Olds Healthcare Fundraising Committee to be used for the purchase of Equipment at the Olds Hospital & Care Centre named the Luft and Ross Family Hospital Equipment Trust!
This Trust will help us ensure that the Olds Hospital and Care Centre always has access to the modern equipment it needs. The Estates of Sandra and Darwin Luft have made a heartfelt commitment to the community of Olds, expressing that this gift is “in loving memory of their parents, Donald & Jane Luft and William & Dorothy Ross.” Although Sandra and her late husband, Darwin, will not hear our appreciation, it is clear that their humble and generous spirit is reflected in this gift.
With the establishment of this Trust, we will be able to make annual disbursements for equipment purchases based on its growth. This means that this incredible gift will continue to provide new equipment to the Olds Hospital and Care Centre for many years into the future, turning an already generous contribution into something even more significant.
